Abstract

The Thermal Analysis System is an attempt to automate the analysis of a closed thermodynamic system. A first law analysis is performed on each device in the system using the properties initially entered by the user at selected states. The known data for a problem to be solved is entered via interactive prompts. The program then manipulates the data and attempts to solve the system. If enough data is not known to solve the system completely, all known data is printed out and an error message will appear.
