Abstract

A new implementation for Super-Resolution (SR) techniques has been proposed. This new SR implementation has multiple clinical advantages versus the original standard implementation. We tested and validated this new approach by comparing it to the original SR implementation in theoretical and experimental studies. Characterization and evaluation of this new SR processing are also conducted in experimental as well as patient studies. The results show that this new SR implementation can be used to replace the original standard SR implementation while exhibiting similar performance in image resolution and signal-to-noise ratio (SNR).
