dc.description.abstract | Orchestral performance is dedicated space and time for a ritual of concentrated listening and the execution of physical actions on sounding objects. In composing the work sound.field, I wish to guide a hypothetic listening experience through several layers of time and resonant spaces. I consider the work an aural environment partitioned by time. The temporal experience of it imagined as listening to a microphone moved through a vibrant aural space that is “amplified” through an orchestra. | en_US |
