Abstract
Because of the number of different computer languages available today, a line printer which is capable of printing any character is desirable. This thesis presents a printing mechanism, and a controller for that mechanism, which together realize such a printer. The result is a printer with 512 completely variable characters, both in terms of the characters' appearance as well as their codes.
