Abstract
A technique for measuring the coherence properties of a light beam was proposed and verified. By performing certain operations on the beam, the coherence measurement reduces to a simple measurement of percent polarization. Measurements using this technique were performed on a beam from a He-Ne laser. Extensions of the presented experimental method were suggested.
