This thesis explores the technology and architectural implications of transferring natural light and natural views between different parts of a building. The architectural implications of this are to bring daylight and view into deep space displaced from the building envelope. In addition to conceptual exploration, a physical working prototype was invented that’s capable of tracking and redistributing natural light into deep space. This is a response to global warming and increasing population density. Even with the increased use of daylighting, electricity production and buildings still, account for 31 percent of greenhouse gas emissions. Increasing urbanization has also begun to require the creative utilization of deep and underground space, previously unusable because of the lack of natural light and view.
