Using the myth of Echo and its strategic ambiguities of identity and language as the point of departure, this analysis identified various theoretical texts by Gilbert Durand, Julia Kristeva, Philippe Lejeune, Milan Kundera, and Mikhail Bakhtine, which focus on similar issues.
