Various approaches, including emerging deep learning methods, are proposed to improve the performance of PACT further.ConclusionsWe outline contemporary technologies aimed at tackling the challenges in PACT applications.engExcept where otherwise noted, this work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license.  Permission to reuse, publish, or reproduce the work beyond the terms of the license or beyond the bounds of fair use or other exemptions to copyright law must be obtained from the copyright holder.Challenges and advances in two-dimensional photoacoustic computed tomography: a reviewJournal article070901_1https://doi.org/10.1103/10.1117/1.JBO.29.7.070901
