In particular, measured cross sections have been smaller than would be expected from theoretical treatments and other experiments. In addition, measurements at individual collision energies have not been reproducible. An investigation has revealed that these problems are caused by previously undiscovered physical effects. Correction of these difficulties has apparently paved the way for successful measurements of the charge transfer cross sections.69 ppengCopyright is held by the author, unless otherwise indicated.
