Though many of these regimes may have experienced only short-lived success as products of trends in popular culture, the complex relationship between environmental exposure and cure is one that is fundamental to the understanding of the medical sciences. The endeavor to more fully understand its complexities continues even in the light of what modern advances in medical technology have revealed to us.
