Details of how this information is encoded remain uncertain. This work develops a biophysical model of the LSO network capable of simulating LSO responses to acoustically realistic stimuli. Our LSO network simulations demonstrate the extreme sensitivity of the LSO transient response to time delays caused by both ILDs and ITDs.
